Forging Elite…?
Forging Elite Fitness? Or Forging Elite Health?
~ James Molden
Training with the purpose to elevate health is at the heart of what Eleven Nexus stands for. This is provided through the programming, additional supportive content, and our corporate initiatives.
There is no doubt that CrossFit has produced some of the fittest people on earth and has ‘Forged Elite Fitness’. With ‘constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity’ being present in many different fitness and sports programmes, for elite athletes and general population.
With the shift in CrossFit's approach to more health-based content, fighting disease, combating obesity, and reaching out to a wider audience - Eleven Nexus is moving with this trend.
Out of the 4 million CrossFit affiliate members 400,000 signed up to the Open, which suggests that only 10% of the global population are interested in ‘Forging Elite Fitness’ and competitive CrossFit. So where does this leave the remaining 90%? It is apparent that people are more interested in improving their general health, and are in this for the long haul so they can kick ass into their 80’s & 90’s.
We understand that people don’t necessarily need to train for a faster ‘Fran’ time, and in some cases it isn’t beneficial for them to do so. Movement mastery, general physical preparedness, and longevity is the main goal.
At Eleven Nexus we have a vision to ‘Catalyse the evolution of the health and wellbeing industry ‘ and by health we mean in all aspects. Boutique fitness spaces, gyms and wellbeing centres are the hospitals of the future. Not as a replacement, but a proactive support measure in a society where a large percentage of the pressure on the health systems are preventable chronic disease.
With the shift from competitive CrossFit and ‘Forging Elite Fitness’ to a health focused society we can slow the onset of preventable chronic disease.
